YOUR FAMILY’S PRIVACY

Your information belongs in good hands.

TEACH is operated by Higher Ground Publishing. This notice describes the website’s current information practices.

Updated October 23, 2026.

Information you choose to share

A family account stores the parent’s name, email address, optional phone number, children’s names, ages and optional grade levels, and your email preference. The Planner stores the attendance, calendar entries and notes you enter. Webinar registrations store your name, the selected webinar and a dated record of the email permission you give. Contact messages and Wishing Well submissions are also saved. Front Porch conversations store the subject, message, author account, a first-name display label, posting time and moderation status. Shared posts and replies are visible to qualifying members and TEACH administrators. Ask Jana conversations are visible only to their starter and TEACH administrators. Wishing Well submissions remain private to TEACH. Your email address and child profile are not shown with community posts.

TEACH accounts are for parents and other adults managing a homeschool. Children do not need their own account. Please do not enter Social Security numbers, payment-card information, medical records or other sensitive information in notes or messages.

How TEACH uses it

We use account information to provide your resources, keep family records, help with account access, respond to messages and suggest TEACH resources relevant to your family. We use your email address for account and security messages. Homeschool encouragement, news and offers require your separate email permission.

Attendance and private notes are not public community posts. We do not use their contents to choose marketing suggestions. Child ages and grade levels may help suggest appropriate TEACH curriculum; parents make the final placement decision.

Your choices

You can review and change family details and email permission in your family account. Turning off marketing permission does not stop necessary account or security messages. The Planner and Children’s Records let you print or download readable documents for a date range.

You can remove your own community messages from view. Hidden messages remain available to TEACH administrators for moderation; hiding a post does not permanently erase it. Other members may have already read or copied shared posts. For removal requests, use Contact & Help.

Removing a child from the active profile archives the listing; it does not erase learning records. An expired Planner subscription stops new entries while keeping saved history readable and downloadable. To request removal of an account or information, use the private message form on Contact & Help. Requests require identity verification and are reviewed individually; there is no automatic delete-account button.

Storage and service providers

Supabase provides account authentication, database and private file storage. Vercel hosts this website. Brevo delivers TEACH account email. These providers process the information needed to run their services. Website and email providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, delivery information and security logs.

Signing in stores session information in your browser to keep you signed in. Downloaded records are created on your device. Brevo may use the branded email domain for email links and images. The site does not currently include third-party advertising pixels or a separate analytics script.

TEACH does not sell family profiles or private learning records. We may disclose information when legally required or needed to address fraud or protect the service. Links to Homeschool-911 and other websites are governed by those websites’ own practices.

Retention and protection

Planner records are intended to remain a continuing family archive while the archive service is offered, including after a subscription expires. This is not a promise to maintain the website or store records forever. You are responsible for keeping current, independent PDF or Word copies outside TEACH. For a planned permanent closure, affected account holders will receive notice and at least 30 calendar days to retrieve available records before planned removal of archive access. Unexpected failures or urgent legal or security action may prevent advance notice or retrieval. After the stated deadline, records may be deleted unless the law requires retention. See Website and archive closure and Your responsibility for backups. Account access rules restrict families to their own records, and product files require the appropriate access. No online service can promise that loss, interruption or unauthorized access is impossible.
